Mashhad hosts Quran exhibition

The Iranian city of Mashhad has opened an international Quran and Etrat exhibition for the holy month of Ramadan.

The exhibition is aimed at achieving 16 accomplishments, including introduction of Quranic virtues as well as the Quranic potentials in Mashhad as the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2017.

The expo has been slated to start from June 1 in the holy city during the holy month of Ramadan and will continue for ten days.

Mashhad was selected as the Cultural Capital of the Muslim World for 2017 during the 7th conference of the ISESCO member states in the Algerian capital city of Algiers in 2007.

Every year, Mashhad hosts over 27 million Iranian and some two million foreign pilgrims in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).
